The building was built in 1997-1998. Designed by the architects Zdeňka Makovského and Jaroslava Černého in the historical part of the city. It is located between the Špilberk, the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Church St. Tomas, the church of St. Jacob and Měnín Gate. There are cultural, entertainment and shopping centers nearby.
On the ground floor there is a hall, a reception hall, a large hall and a classroom for the students of the theater and musical acting faculties. In the basement, there are three music practice rooms for students of the music faculty. On the second floor, there is a library, a multimedia study room and an editorial center. There is a small restaurant too.
One cell consists of an entrance hall, a bathroom / WC and two rooms equipped with a telephone, a refrigerator and the possibility of connecting your own computer to the Internet.
