Brno Becomes Brighter for a Week

Týden Města [“Week of the City”] turns Brno into a bright, colorful and exciting place with music, dance, artistic performances and food aromas and flavors. People are encouraged to go out to the streets and join spontaneous or organized events.

During this week you can enjoy various events across the city. The program includes street picnics, alternative bike rides, kid activities, theater performances, or a city exploration tour. You should look for events even at the most unexpected places like the Brno-chimney!

Do you have a coffee shop or pub? Pull your tables and chairs outside. Are you a musician? Play in the streets. Make happening. Change something and make the city brighter! You can register for free here.

Chilling with a cup of coffee on Veveří Street

Island of surprises at Šelepova park

Do you like exotic reptiles? This Thursday a chameleon island will be built in the middle of Šelepova park. Watch the beautiful reptiles and learn more about their mysterious lives. Check the animals on their Facebook page here.

Chill-out street picnic in the city center

9th Street Picnic na Smetance presents a concept of total well-being. Turn off your phone, have a coffee, a drink with friends and something good to eat. The place stays open “Until we talk.” say the organizers. Join the relaxed picnic event this Thursday on Smetanova street.

Saturday discovery tour

On Saturday, visit places of Brno shrouded in legends and mysterious stories. Find out more about history of the city from a different point of view. “Brno will never be the same!” write the event organizers.
