Brno, July 25 (BD) – Have you ever wondered what is in the plans of the city council for Brno and its inhabitants? What will Brno be like in 10 years?

This afternoon at Jakubské náměstí, there will an open public discussion about the future of Brno and entertainment program with a photo booth. The Brno Municipality experts have devised a plan with clear goals, directives and ambitious vision for the upcoming 40 years.

The strategic plan was divided into three parts. There is a long-term vision that will define main vectors of the city’s path until 2050. Then, there are specific priorities until 2025. Up to 2020, the experts will make a specific plan of action for individual activities and projects. We wrote more about Brno 2050 strategy in our article Public Debate about Future of Brno Open to Expats.

The focus is on the city administration, resources, and the quality of life. These three parts will be gradually elaborated together with public and the Brno Smart City Office by the fall of 2018. The implementation will ensue then.

People are often worried about a healthy environment with a long-term sustainability of natural resources, nature in the city that complements urban infrastructure and maintains a healthy environment, and available housing.

The general public calls most for electronic administration to ease the legal processes and participative government of the city.

At the resources categor,y global availability has the most votes as it allows for a better interconnection between the cities and states. International connection is important for Brno in order to remain as a European integrated city.

Clean city is also a priority and aims to reduce the energy consumption, noise pollution, and the level of emissions.
