This Thursday, HC Masaryk will play the second match of the European University Hockey League (EUHL) against the team from Charles University.

Clash of champs. It is how the co-founder of HC Muni, Ondřej Stehlík, describes the upcoming match.
This match is between the two biggest universities in Czech Republic, and both teams are known for their remarkable results in academic hockey leagues.

The match is promising. Masaryk University is the winner of the national academic hockey league for two consecutive years, while Charles University has won the EUHL four times.

This is an important game to HC Muni, and the coach would like to see all of Brno supporting the team.
“ The Capacity of the stadium is for 7.700 fans and we want a “full house”, Stehlík says.

Before the league kicked off, HC Muni launched a crowdfunding project to ensure the financial support for the team, and the goals of the campaign have been met.

“We finally ended our crowdfunding campaign. Successfully! … The crowdfunding helped us to promote our team and club logo. The project helped us to financially ensure our team,” Stehlík says.

The event is not all about the game! It’s also about having fun. The organizers have planned a legendary parade before the kick-off, and an after party in Fléda Club from 11 pm.

You will have the chance to have a drink with the players, while giving advice to improve their performance.

HC MUNI won the first game of the EUHL against Hokiklub Budapest, 7-5.
