Brno, Nov 10 (BD) – During the event of the Winter Olympics in Pyongyang, the same park will open in Ostrava. The organizers have now launched the recruitment of volunteers in both cities.
Each park seeks three hundred people who will help with the organization between February 9 and 25, 2018.
“To manage the seventeen-day event including several sports grounds is not possible without volunteers. I believe we will be able to find enough good people to help us organize such an exceptional event as the Olympic Parks project, ” Libor Varhaník, Vice-Chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee, said in the official statement.
The basic job requirement is to work at least nine shifts through the course of the Olympics. Volunteers must be at least 17 years old. For their help, they will receive the Certificate of Volunteer of the Czech Olympic Committee. Volunteers can register at: https://www.olympijskeparky.cz/dobrovolnici.
The Olympic Park in Brno will offer a hockey pitch and curling tracks at the pavilion Z with a circular ground plan, and other sports grounds in surrounding pavilions of Brno Exhibition Center in Pisárky.
