Brno, Apr 24 (BD) – On Monday at eleven o’clock, Brno’s famous clock at náměstí Svobody released the first ball with the Kometa hockey club logo. Kometa became the champions of the Extraliga for the thirteenth time this weekend.

The clock will release another 156 balls, one every hour from 11am to 11pm for symbolic 13 days (one day for each Kometa championship title). The last special edition Kometa glass globe will be released from the astronomical clock on May 5 at 11pm.

By sealing its 13th title victory on Sunday, Kometa has won the most of any team in Extraliga history.
