Get a free compost bin and start recycling organic waste in your garden.
Brno, Jun 13 (BD) – The citizens of Brno have a unique opportunity to get a free compost bin right now. On June 13th at 10am the SAKO city waste management company opens its online reservation system at www.resako.cz. According to the official website of the City of Brno, the booking form includes 12 questions about composting (the booking form may not be available at the time of this article’s publication).

To obtain a new compost bin you must be over 18 years of age and ensure that the bin will not be used outside Brno city limits.
This is the second time the City of Brno hands out compost bins completely free of charge.
The first round of compost bins reservations took place this past April. Thanks to the subsidies from the Ministry of Environment, the city received 2100 compost bins. In less than 18 hours after opening the reservation system, there were no compost bins left. However, more than 150 compost bins were not collected at the distribution place. They will be available again starting June 13th.
“This fall […] additional 350 compost bins will be available,” said Martin Ander, Brno Deputy Mayor for Environment, according to the official website of the City of Brno.
