Brno, Jul 5 (BD) – The pier will be open daily from 7am to 9pm, according to the city’s official website.

“The beaches of the Brno dam have been attracting thousands of people over the last nine years. The city is therefore trying to improve services for visitors. Most recently, the city has added a large pier in Rakovec, which allows people easy access to the water,” said Deputy Mayor Martin Ander.

The quality of water in Brno dam has recently deteriorated slightly, but it is still suitable for bathing, according to the Regional Hygienic Authority of South Moravia (KHS JmK). Brno’s reservoir is regularly inspected at five sites (Rakovec, Rokle, Osada, Kozí horka, and Sokolském koupaliště). Currently, all of them offer water suitable for bathing. A lower quality of water was also detected in Výrovice reservoir near Znojmo.
