Brno, Jul 30 (BD) – Starting today until August 2, the streets of historical center of Brno will be sprinkled with water three times per day, the Town Hall of Brno-Center has announced earlier this afternoon.
From 10am to 4pm streets of Masarykova, náměstí Svobody, Kobližná, Jánská, Orlí, Dominikánská, Josefská, Minoritská, Zámečnická, Rašínova, and Zelný trh will be watered in order to cool the asphalt, clean the streets, and freshen up the air.
Regular sprinkling in the center eases the urban heat-island effect and removes dust from the streets.
