Brno, Sep 21 (BD) – The young female polar bear named Noria left Brno on September 15, and has since had her first introduction to visitors to the zoo in Rostock, Germany.

According to the zookeepers, Noria enjoys the swimming pool and all the water features in Rostock, just like she did in Brno. The Brno native has already met her future husband, Akiak. “As the Germans remarked, it was not love at first sight. Akiak is much bigger than Norinka, but they will give them as much time as they need,” explained Brno Zoo spokesman Michal Vaňáč.

Noria was born on November 21, 2015. She is the fifth cub successfully raised from her mother Cora. Raising polar bear cubs in captivity is an important achievement for a zoo.
