Water in Brno’s Reservoir is ideal for swimming – it’s warm and the hygienists confirmed that it is clean. The temperature on Friday noon exceeded 22° Celsius.
It’s officially clean. The regional health authority controls water quality in the reservoir. The authority regularly takes samples at five locations dams throughout the season. You can check them here.
Brno Municipality continuously works on bettering the facilities on the lake’s shores. The city of Brno has already built up new public toilets, changing rooms, showers, playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment and other facilities at the busiest places at the dam. A recent installation of free public BBQ spots has been welcome by many. “It’s the fact that they are located in a way that grilling parties don’t interfere with other recreational activities on the beaches, ” said Deputy Mayor Martin Ander in a press release of Brno Municipality.
