Brno, Sep 23 (BD) – The beautiful town of Tábor, just a few kilometers away from Brno is a home to the biggest chocolate and marzipan museum in the Czech Republic and also one of the biggest in Europe. This is the best chance to explore chocolate in depth and learn the history and secrets of the world’s most precious beans; Cocoa beans.
Set up with funding from the European Union the museum offers workshops where visitors can watch chefs preparing chocolate and marzipan delicacies. Visitors can have fun in a special workshop where they can prepare their own handmade chocolates.
The museum has a mesmerizing section with an exposition of fairy-tale characters made with chocolate and a huge marzipan model of the town that took nearly three months to be completed.
You will have chocolate to your heart’s choice. The museum launches a two-metre high chocolate fountain. Dark and white chocolate are flowing endlessly there. Explore also the fun exhibition with chocolate wrappers and china cups for drinking hot chocolate.
Enter the world of pralines and taste some unusual flavors including dill, wasabi or chili peppers pralines made with rich delicious chocolate and love.
General ticket is 150 CZK for adults and 100 CZK for children. For families, special tickets are available.
Tabor is just two hours away from Brno by car. Also Regiojet and Flixbus offer lines to the town. There are also train connections to Tabor and the journey takes about 4 hours.
