Letters to the editor

Support for ballet

“The ballet of the National Theater of Brno has a reputation for bringing world class productions to the stages of Brno, Europe, and the world.  Such a reputation has landed the company a spot in the finals of an international ballet and opera competition held in Paris. The winning prize will help to fund the company’s premier of Romeo and Juliet-a production very special to Brno in that Brno is home to the 1938 world premier of this very special ballet.

So, please, support the ballet and the culture the national theater brings to Brno and vote for NdBrno Balet’s Romeo and Juliet it will take less than a minute of your time.”

Elections in the Czech Republic – outrageous flyer

“Hello, I would like to point one horrible thing that happened regarding the elections in Czech Republic. Me and probably many other people found this disgusting flyer in our mailboxes. This is outrageous – for people living here legally and paying taxes,  being EU citizens, we don’t deserve such treatment at any point.

I think it is worth to raise this attention. I do not support any side of election or anything like that, I just don’t want to be labeled in this dirty game that is happening around.”

Antain M. L.: Are the trams ‘accordion-style’ vehicles? Because if they are, you’d expect the screeching.
Michal B. M.: Accordion to me, they are articulated melodions.
