Living in a foreign country can be hard, but if you also have children to take care of, it is even harder. Photo: Casadei Graphics

Brno, Jun 7 (BD) – To make it just a bit easier for expat parents, Brno Expat Centre (BEC) has compiled a list of foreigner-friendly activities to keep your youngsters entertained and allow parents to unwind and relieve some stress. You can find them all, divided into 16 different categories, in the BEC infosheet Leisure Activities with Kids.

Not every cafe or restaurant is child-friendly – some places cater to students studying, or people having business meetings. However, some places have high chairs and children’s areas or outdoor playgrounds. At these family-friendly locations, you won’t be met with scornful faces when your child decides to have a bit of a fit.

Such places are all over the city, including the city centre (for example Žiravka and Sampalero). Check the infosheet to find a location near you.

There is also a long list of leisure activity clubs. Elementary fine art schools offer courses for young people ranging from drama and visual arts to music and dancing. Lužánky Leisure Centre is based in Lužánky Park but has locations around the whole city, offering outdoor camps, sport classes and education programmes.

There are also many possibilities for day trips – from haunted castles and Wild West theme parks to toy, puppet and science museums.

Find your inspiration and more information in BEC’s Infosheet Leisure Activities with Kids.

Moreover, BEC will soon be providing a great opportunity to entertain and educate your children in nature – our Family Day at Jezírko Environmental Centre is happening this Saturday. Check the event invitation to find out what to expect.
