Brno, Set 5 (BD) – Firemen of Brno had the busiest summer in last four years. The most frequent occurrences were fires, traffic accidents, and technical interventions.
The country this year witnessed one of the driest summers in its history. Brno’s firemen registered 376 fires this summer with the outcome of 14 injured people and one case of death.
The loss was estimated at 49.1 million crowns and protection of properties saved another 162.6 million crowns.
There were registered 479 traffic accidents this summer; 139 more than the average in the past years.
Technical interventions were also more frequent this July and August; there were 1624 interventions, while in the previous years, there were only 1183 technical interventions on average.
