Brno, February 6 (BD) – In case you got used to the warm, almost Spring-like weather of the last days of January, prepare to be surprised. This week, winter is coming back!

Despite the fact that this year’s average January temperature was below zero, it has been a warm month – actually, the average temperature was the same as it usually is in March. This was one of the hottest years on record, but we haven’t seen the last of snow in the Czech Republic.

This Tuesday, it is forecasted to be a cloudy day without precipitation. According to Worldweatheronline.com, the daytime high will be 1°c, with an overnight low of -2°c.

Wednesday should be the harbinger of colder days, with an 85% chance of moderate rain. That rainfall will be followed by light snow on Thursday, which will continue through the weekend.

On Saturday, the temperature should drop down to -3°c, and get even colder with a low of -5°c on Monday.

This is good news for ski resorts, as the snowfall should provide a rich supply of snow through the spring.

Even if you are not doing any skiing, keep your winter jackets in the closet — weather experts agree that the end of this week will bring a cold front from the Scandinavian north.
