Brno, Apr 20 (BD) – The fountain is made up of 1,023 fine water nozzles that are controlled by computer. According to Kateřina Novotná of Public Greenery of the City of Brno (VZMB), the fountain has undergone thorough maintenance, including the replacement of some electronic components. Fifty nozzles had to be replaced. Novotná says the service has cost approximately one hundred thousand crowns, according to the official website of the City of Brno.

The coloured wall of the fountain, the so-called Flash Wall, is lit up every evening from sunset to 2am in the morning. Various announcements of cultural and social events, silhouettes of the city, and a calendar and clocks are shown on the water wall. New this year is an up-to-date weather forecast that can be seen on the wall, the City of Brno reports on its official website.
