Brno, Aug 1 (BD) – The report predicts that in August, temperatures in the Czech Republic will generally be above the seasonal average. In the first week of August in particular, Brno, as well as rest of the country, will see temperatures high above normal. Although temperatures are expected to drop slightly in the following weeks, they will remain above seasonal norms for the region. Temperatures are forecast to return to normal levels in the last quarter of the month. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute’s monthly forecast of weather temperatures is based on numerical forecasting models and the statistical-analogue method, and has an accuracy rate of 75%.
The report also includes interesting climate and temperature data from past decades. According to the report, the average temperature in the Czech Republic in the years 1981–2010 in the period of July 30 – August 26 was 18.4°C, and the average temperature range of the given period was from 17.7°C to 19.2°C.
The lowest average August temperature in the Czech Republic since 1951 was experienced in 1976, when it was a mere 14.7°C; the highest average August temperature of 21.1°C was experienced in 2015.
The weather forecast for Brno by weather.com shows that, as well as sunny summer days, rainy and stormy weather will also come to Brno in August. According to the same forecast, in the next seven days, peak temperatures during the day in Brno will remain above 30°C until Sunday, with a chance of showers on Friday.
