Brno, Dec 14 (BD) – As caught on a camera installed on one of the houses on náměstí Svobody, a 22-year-old man climbed the fence and grabbed two red plastic spheres from the Christmas tree. Together with two compatriots aged 22 and 24, they started throwing the ornaments and then kicking them around in an improvised football match.

An officer at the surveillance centre informed the nearest patrol, who arrived immediately. The three young men tried to hide from the police car, but they were not successful. They then tried to convince the patrolling officers that the ornaments were located near one of the Christmas stands, and they thought they were free to take.

After the police officers indicated to the young men that the camera above them had recorded all of their actions, the men confessed and began to apologize. The police issued a fine for damage to property.
