Brno, Aug 27 (BD) – On Tuesday, the City Council of Brno selected a company that will demolish the houses on Provazníkova Street near Tomkovo náměstí. The city will pay 50 percent of the estimated price of CZK 2.580.818, Road and Motorway Directorate will pay the other half.
“The demolition of other buildings on Provazníkova Street, which the city gradually bought, will continue in 2019. We have already demolished other buildings last year, during the reconstruction of the Karlova/Provazníkova junction,” Richard Mrázek, Deputy Mayor for Investments, Property and Transport said in the official press release.

Mrázek further explained that an important part of the demolition and site clearance work is the ongoing renovation of the Valchařská Street and the planned reconstruction of Zábrdovická Street as these streets will serve as alternative routes in the time of the construction of a large city ring road.
