Brno, Oct 11 (BD) – The event is part of a global campaign called “Pink October”. Since 1985, October has been recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with an international campaign that aims to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for prevention, research, and treatment of breast cancer. The colour pink is the symbol of this worldwide campaign. Many iconic landmarks across the globe such as the White House, the Eiffel Tower, the Fernsehturm (Television Tower) in Berlin and 10 Downing Street will be lit up in pink on this occasion in October.
Czech-French actress and singer Chantal Poullain and Matěj Plíhal will sing at the event. Entrance is free.
