In the early morning hours an accident was reported on Cejl street. The BMW and Skoda vehicles collided with a tram number 2. None of the car drivers were under the influence of alcohol.
Brno police is examining the causes of the accident. The street was closed for an entire hour causing a major traffic congestion.
The driver and passenger of the BMW car suffered minor injuries. They were transferred to the Brno University Hospital for treatment.
The street partially opened at seven o’clock and the lane for the city center was open after 8 o’clock.
The tram was removed from the tracks and lines 2, 4 and 11 were delayed.
The street is very busy during the morning hours. Drivers had to follow alternative routes.
