More than 14,500 volunteers in yellow T-shirts will offer yellow flowers with blue ribbons and information leaflets on the prevention of cancer in the streets of 1,200 cities and municipalities throughout the country. The annual fundraising event organized by the Czech League Against Cancer starts today at 11 AM also in the streets of Brno.
The minimum price of a flower is 20 CZK, but any amount above that is very welcome and will be used for the support of various medical and research facilities, improving the quality of life of cancer patients, and informative campaigns to prevent the illness. The 2017 fundraiser focuses on the cancers of head and neck.
It is also possible to send a donor SMS in the form DMS CHP 30, DMS CHP 60, or DMS CHP 90 to number 87 777. The prices of the DMS are 30 / 60 / 90 CZK respectively.
