Brno, Mar 27 (BD) – The Regional Hygienic Authority of South Moravia, based in Brno, has called off the official recommendation to ban visits to medical facilities and old people’s homes issued on February 16, 2018.
“The recommendation that health facilities declare a ban on visits is no longer in effect,” Dr. Renata Ciupek from the Regional Hygienic Authority of South Moravia announced on Friday, March 23.
Throughout the duration of the epidemic, the highest prevalence reported by the South Moravian Region was 2000 patients / 100,000 inhabitants.
The number of patients has decreased by 17% to 1,810 patients / 100,000 inhabitants over the past week (19-25/3/2018).
Ciupek, however, recommends keeping basic precautionary measures.
