Brno, June 7 (BD) – On Saturday night, municipal police cameras captured a horrific event at the corner of Masarykova Street and Zelný trh.
Footage shows a group of men attacking a smaller group of people, with two of the assailants continuing to beat one of the men even after he had fallen to the ground.
One of the attackers also assaulted a young woman who had attempted to intervene.
A police patrol captured two suspects four minutes later and took statements from the victims and several witnesses.
“We are passing the case on to the state police, as there is reason to believe that a criminal offense was committed. The cause of the incident will be investigated,” the police wrote on their Facebook page.
Police have yet to comment on the conditions of the victims.
